| Mailfoundry / Ensim known bug! Hello
I wanted to post about a known bug we currently have with our implementation of MailFoundry with our Ensim Pro based hosting servers.
When we implemented Mailfoundry, all MX records for everyone’s domains were set so your email would be handled by our MailFoundry spam filtering servers [a change of MX record from “mail.domain.com” to “mfx.spamfiltering.com].
Unfortunately Ensim has a bug which means when certain changes are made to a site from inside your hosting control panel, it resets the domains MX record back to “mail.domain.com”, meaning your domain is no longer being filtered by MailFoundry, and thus spam will increase.
We are working with Ensim software developers to resolve the problem, and stop the control panel resetting MX records. This may take some time to resolve, but we will certainly get there. In the meantime many of you may find your domains are NOT being protected by MailFoundry as the MX record has been reset to default. If you don’t think MailFoundry is working for you [i.e. your receiving lots of spam] then please contact support so we can correct your domains MX record for you.
We will post an update when we have a fix from Ensim, and at that point we will do a full audit of all domains we host, and correct all the necessary MX records to ensure you are all being fully covered and filtered by MailFoundry. It does not make sense to do this audit until a fix is in place, as many of you use the control panel extremely often, undoing any MX changes we make on a regular basis.
We hope to update you again very soon, and in the meantime please do contact support if you feel MailFoundry may not be working correctly for your domain(s).
