| dedicated ip hosting & seo i use the word dedicated rather than fixed as i believe websites hosted on UH servers are on fixed (but shared) ips anyway.
it is said that websites on a dedicated ip is good for seo but a serach on the web came up with different views, some said yes while others not so sure.
i know if you type in the shared server ip it'd only take you to the server admin screen. wiht a dedicated ip, i suppose it will take you to the site the ip is 'dedicated' to?
if a site switches to dedicated ip hosting, will the dns nameservers (either a virtual one or the real one) be changed?
there must be some good reasons (apart from SSL) for using a dedicated ip, or UH wont be selling them.
part of my post could have been asked a support ticket but i think some others may also be interested in the subject, so i think i'd post here. |
