Can anyone recommend a good (free) PC-based text editor? I don't need whistles and bells, just a very simple editor that allows quick and efficient editing of basic text documents. I want one that leaves the text file exactly as it was (plus edits), ie doesn't increase the filesize by adding extra end of line characters.
