| As far as Web Development is concerned a University Degree will simply cost you a lot of money and take several years out of your life, which you could have spent getting into the business.
The "in demand" skill at the moment is Flash Action Scripting. If you can do that and do it well then you don't need to work for anyone else and will make a very good living as a Freelancer or Contractor.
