OK-- can I just point out that the FTP protocol uses plain text format to submit your username and password over the Internet? Perhaps if you're security conscious you might want to forget about using FTP applications and move to using SFTP (Secure-FTP) or SCP (Secure-Copy) protocol?

If you're a Windows user, I personally use and would highly recommend WinSCP, an open-source, freeware client application for FTP, SFTP, SCP protocols. Check it out...

Vger: If you liked WS FTP Pro, you'll love WinSCP!! All the power of FTP with PuTTY/shell commands thrown in!! (means you can copy over a zip file and then decompress it on the server etc all from within WinSCP).
