I found a post in from way back in 2003 where you said that secure SMTP / POP3 may be implemented in the future.

This is a feature that I would be interested in and was therefore wondering whether or not it is now available?

No, sorry this is not something we have implemented.

It is still on our roadmap for future implementation, but we do not have any set timescale for it. Sorry.
