I do have a support ticket open but am interested in hearing from other UH customers about this issue.
I have been a UH customer for years though have random accounts elsewhere.
I'm now on a dedicated managed server with UH and am very happy with everything other than this one problem that seems to be a repeat of one I've had before that I know others experienced too.
Some time ago after doing numerous traceroutes (as told by helpdesk) showing good results, and worrying to the point of nearly shifting supplier, UH found problems with NTL traffic.
The problem would result in regular visitors of my websites (I run forums so had the problem a lot) experiencing slow loading of pages, or page timeouts.
The problem got to the point where half the time the pages would load slow, the other half not at all, and never to the max speed of the server / network I know can cope with.
Though the problem wasn't all the time, it did happen during both busy and quiet times. My sites are largely UK based so between 3am - 6am you'd expect to be problem-free. But oh no, not with this monster of a problem, even those times I personally had problems though not many reported by other UK 'readers' / visitors of my sites.
I am wondering if any of you guys can remember having this problem, if so, are you having the same problem again?
