Email Problems.

I know this is nothing to do with Unitedhosting as my web account works no problem.

Basically every now and again when I try to connect to my email via thunderbird, the connection times out. So I usually just use my web account for a few days and the problem remedies itself.

However this time it has not fixed itself. I cannot seem to connect to the server through thunderbird at all. This has been like this for some weeks now.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Whats the exact error message?

Try deleting the account and setting it up again fresh making sure the settings match those in our email tutorial...

'Connection to server mail.mattscanvas.co.uk timed out.'

Is the exact error. It has worked for the last couple of years no problems but recently this has been happening and now it looks permanent as it has not resolved itself for several weeks now.

Think an uninstall/re-install is the only option?

Fixed the problem. Messed around with the port settings in thunderbird and it works ok now.

Thanks for your help Matt
