Pointing part of a domain name to my reseller account.

I have a customer who looks after his own domain name and hosts several subdomains elsewhere, but wants to host a website using www.domainname.com with me. Should the A record for www.domainname.com on his domain registrars DNS be set to the IP address for my nameservers (ns1 and ns2.mynameservers.com) or the server itself (eagle)?

Hope someone can help.

Will getting a digital certificate for this account mean I have to re-do the dns on his domain?

He would need to set the a record to the server IP. For a ssl certificate you would need the customer to purchase a dedicated IP and point it to that.
