I need to buy a ".es" domain for a client, are any of the businesses listed on this site something that i should avoid? I know some are spanish only, but some appear to be international registrars as well. I don't want to be caught out by any of them,

I know the site is in spanish but thats not the point, the list of companies that i can use to register the .es domain is in the list of links in the center of the page.

Not a lot of choice then, compared to the UK list.
I recognise a few names, but none that I could recommend.
There are a couple of "international" ones there, big US outfits that are extensively used.
Why don't you narrow down to a shortlist, maybe by price. Then google for any reference to them. Presumably using the local google version might throw up any reports there might be for individual businesses.
Also checkout how easy it is to move away from them at short notice, before you spend your money.
