After watching Richard & Judy today (ahem - it was on in the background - honest) I was reminded of the potential risk in playing the game where you figure out your pornstar name from combining your first pet's name and your mother's maiden name (as featured in today's show).
It is a great way for people to let slip the answers to their online security questions. This is especially dangerous if the question is passed around in groups where not all participants are known (such as chain emails or internet forums).
An unscrupluous person could use the information innocently supplied to circumnavigate someone's usual login procedures by using a "i've forgotten my password - what is the answer to your security question?" link.
Once one online account is hacked it's possible that it could provide access to others as people may unwisely use the same passwords for their all their online activities.
This has been a public safety announcement brought to you by the letters G & B.
