Hello

Does anyone have any ideas about how to start a career in web development?

I don't really want to go to university if possible but I can't figure out if any of the
it training courses I have looked in to are worth the money.

I have some experience of flash, javascript, html, css and am interested in interface design and developing web apps. I would just like to learn the skills/tools that are in demand by employers in the industry and get out of my dead-end job.

As far as Web Development is concerned a University Degree will simply cost you a lot of money and take several years out of your life, which you could have spent getting into the business.

The "in demand" skill at the moment is Flash Action Scripting. If you can do that and do it well then you don't need to work for anyone else and will make a very good living as a Freelancer or Contractor.
