Unhappy Google Wave invite

Hello everyone.

Yes, I'm begging. Begging and begging and begging and pleading.

I signed up to be a beta tester for Wave but apparently the 100,000 spaces were used up almost immediately, I watched the video a day after it came out and signed up under 3x Google apps domains and my personal gmail but alas I haven't received an invite. I was a beta tester for Google apps years and years ago and hoped I would be looked at favourably but alas, no.

So please, if anyone has a spare invite it would go to very good use and I would be eternally grateful. I may even be able to return the favour as I have some invites for other sites.

Thanks

ODB

Google have actually closed new invites since they've been overwhelmed with people.

When / if I get any more invites I'll let you know

Got my invite last week and I've got to say I'm completely underwhelmed! "The future of email" is nothing more than a glorified IM system in my opinion.

It's definitely very early days. I think it's definitely the way to go.

The most promising idea has to be the ability to reply to a wave at any point

e.g. if there's a question asked halfway through a wave, you can reply directly to that question and start a new 'branch'. I always find that annoying in emails when you have to kind of list your reply

I've been using google wave to collaborate with some other developers other the past few weeks.

I think it's well suited (for things like uploading images to a chat that all users can see)

I've just received some invites to send out so I guess they aren't that busy over there.

Its very early days yet but it is really useful.

I have some google wave invites. If you want one please PM me your email address. I only have a limited number so will post here again when they are gone.

Note that once you have been invited, its is not instant, some people have taken a week to receive the invite.

I have been a google fan ever since I started my "online life" as my mom calls it. I really liked the way I was able to collaborate on documents with my classmates. Google wave just took it to the next level IMHO.
