Lately a large number of popular scripts have been found to be insecure and released newer versions to fix those insecurities.

If you run any scripts on your site (even those installed by powertools) it is YOUR responsibility to ensure the script is completely upto date at all times.

Note that if your script is just a few days or a single version behind the latest release, then you are opening your own webspace up to abuse from spammers and people running malicious software. Not to mention hackers defacing your sites pages.

Some of our servers have been blacklisted recently due to outgoing spam, being sent from peoples account with out of date scripts. We dealt with these situations promptly, but you should be aware that:

We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. If your site is used by spammers in any way shape or form, we do reserve the right to cancel your account. We will always give you ONE chance to resolve the issue, but should it occur again then you could well be asked to find alternative hosting.

Please ensure your scripts are fully upto date, and subscribe to the mailing lists provided by the providers of the scripts you use!
