Buffalo running filesystem check

We have had to run an unscheduled filesystem check on our US based Buffalo server. We will update this thread once the server is back online. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

It appears the raid array has suffered a failure and is not managing a rebuild or clean FSCK.

We are currently evaluating the extent of the damage but may opt to restore from our CDP backups if we feel the drives/RAID array is beyond repair within a reasonable time frame this morning.

We are now preparing the server with new drives and will perform our CDP baremetal restore. We will update as we progress. Thanks.

The restore process is currently running.

Restore is at approx. 20% and progressing normally.

The server is now back online. Our apologies for the extended downtime. We will be running a full post-mortem on what occurred on the server and will be feeding this back to our CDP vendor.
