PHP Support Ticket

I would like to hear about your experience using PHP Support Ticket which comes with the Power Tools options. Is that a good program? Whe do you like/don't like?

We used it for years. I say we "used it", but our customers didn't. They obviously hated it.

Now we have WHMCS with their inbuilt Support Ticket system and our customers use it all of the time. In styling it may not look as good as Kayako (which UH uses) but the functionality is better than Kayako.

Thank you, Vger, this will save me a lot of time playing around with the wrong tool. I have also been looking at Kayako which alsmost every company uses that I am dealing with. I thought there must be a reason for it....

I would agree that WHMCS if you want support/billing in one, or Kayako if you want something a bit more "hardcore" than WHMCS would both be good options.

Send a message via MSN to Alex.
I've never had a reason to use it, but apparently ACCORD5 | Trellis Desk is supposed to be good for ticketing, although you might find it easier to use a dedicated billing product like Vger and Matt suggested, if that's what you're after

If you need billing & support tickets then go for WHMCS.
If you just need support tickets then Kayakoo.
Both also come with knowledge base.

Like Vger said - the inbuilt one is rubbish. For starters there's no email piping .. so customers submit their first ticket online & then the rest of conversation ends up in your inbox.
