Multiple Unrelated Domains

Hi,

I was impressed by your site and also by the recommendation from SitePoint. I have several domains registered at another hosting company, and am looking to change.

One reason to change is that they don't offer any CGI facility (I know you do), but the main reason is that they make it extremely cumbersome to work with multiple unrelated domains and keep them separate. All of your files for all of your domains are basically placed within one root folder associated with your user-id, and you have to set up a default ASP file to examine all incoming urls and redirect the request as appropriate.

So my question is, do you use a similar system at UH, or are a user's separate domains kept separate automatically?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Dan

PS - Unrelated comment: That box with the six letters and numbers you need to type in on some of your pages can be incredibly difficult to decipher. I've had to request a new image a few times when I was researching this topic in your forum, and still had to guess what letters and numbers wre on display.

all files are kept well apart from each other on a domain and ftp user level. One issue that you may have is that you mention ASP and UH is 100% Linux

That tears it. That never even crossed my mind, thanks for mentioning it. Onwards and upwards...
