Hi

I've been looking at the services offered and just have a couple of questions before I go ahead and take the plunge

The host I'm currently with has setup a catchall address for email and there is no way to disable this. How flexible is the email offered here? How much control would I have about email sent to my domain? Could I simply discard mail addressed to unknown users? Or will I need to set a catchall on this hosting too?

If I decide to go ahead with buying hosting with UH how long approx does it take to get started? For instance if I ordered today would it be possible to get everything up and running today/tomorrow or would I have to wait until Monday before the order was processed?

The good news is that the catchall account is actually banned here, it puts too much load on the fantastic spam filters that are in operation.

UH work 24-7, on the initial order they will perform checks on the order to make sure it isn't a scam, and then your account will be activated. This is normally done very quickly.

Is it not the case that it is banned with the MailFoundry Spam service but you can still do it if you opt out of MailFoundry?

True, but I don't think Mint actually wants it anyway. The reason its blocked is because of the MF, so if you opt out of MF you can have it reinstated on your account if you want

You're right. I don't want a catchall - I prefer to discard mail sent to unknown users.
