Domain Pre-Configuration

Hi There,

I'm interested in a reseller hosting package, and i have a question regarding whether it is possible to preconfigure domains on the UH nameservers before the domains' NS records are changed. Imagine the scenario:

I have a new client who has an existing domain with another host on other nameservers with existing hosting, email etc already configured and working. They want to move to my service, without any downtime. Can I add their domain to my control panel and configure the DNS settings, setup a site, add mailboxes etc before I actually transfer the domain and change the nameservers?

If not what is the required process for transferring in domains and services associated with them?

Thanks

Andy

Yes, you can add the site, upload data, create mailboxes etc.. all before you need to change any nameservers. You can also preview the site (to ensure it's working correctly on our server) via. the preview URL. Once you're happy everything is ok you can then go ahead and change the domains nameservers.
