Mail outs

I'd like to set up a legitimate newsletter hosting service, charging customers for mailings. Abuse won't be tolerated, strict copy policy, etc.

Would this service hosted on UH be OK? Will mails count as part of my monthly bandwidth limit? Would you guys let me know if I violate TOS before terminating my account?

I'm always nervous sending lots of e-mails, it raises an admin's eyebrows

Hello,

We have a zero tolerance policy on spam so our service may not be best for you. Pay mailings often result in lots of spam complaints (even when you may be legitimate) and unfortunately multiple complaints or blacklistings would mean your account would be terminated.

Email does count of bandwidth, its traffic so it counts.

You may want to look for a mailing solution rather than a webhosting account.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your honesty. I too have little patience for spam in general, stuff drives me nuts. E-mail is such a powerful system and fundamental part of the Internet that I'm fed up watching it get underused and abused ... that's my motive for this new service.

I'm quite surprised that a service like Topica Lists would generate complaints, but should the odd complaint arise I'd like to be confident that it's being investigated properly (as opposed to a panic termination). Like I say I'll be equally as stringent monitoring abuse from my user base.

I've hunted the web for a good few hours this afternoon looking for an alternative hosting company should you decide not to host, but I find it difficult to match your features, pricing and support. With your blessing I'd like to sign up for an account and get started.
