I bought my domain space not long ago but already am developing plans to move into the hosting business as I have alot of potential business coming my way.

the only thing I would like to know is if when i upgrade my space could i create a new domain name and just create some space for my current domain or would i have to cancel my current package and just transfer my domain to my new account?

If you needed own branded nameservers you would need to move onto a reseller server (for transparency reasons). If you're happy to continue using the generic nameservers for your's and your clients domains then you could stay on your current server and have the account upgraded to reseller status. If you want to discuss the upgrade further I recommend raising a support ticket.
