Hi,

I am thinking of taking out a reseller account but have a few questions first

• Where is the DNS management within the control panel? I saw references in the forum to changing MX's to point to external servers but I did not see anything in the contrl panel.
• Is it possible to add other A records through the UH hosted domain?
• Is it possible to host the DNS outside of UH and just point an A record to the UH webserver?
• How easy is to upgrade between reseller accounts? Is there a cost associated with it apart from the increase in the pricing plan?

-- You do not currently have dns management in the control panel. We manage the DNS for you (just ask support to make changes).

-- Yes, same as above answer.

-- Yes you can do this, no problem.

How easy is to upgrade between reseller accounts? Is there a cost associated with it apart from the increase in the pricing plan?

-- We do not charge any fee for up or downgrades and they are done right away with no affect on your account, theres no problem with doing this whenever you like.

Just had a look about and noticed that I can get the "Multi Domain Hosting Pack" on the standard hosting plans. I was wondering what the main difference between the reseller account and this setup.

If there are not much differences then I could start on the hosting plan to see how things go with a few domains and then upgrade to the reseller account and migrate domains over as required from my existing setup.

The Multi-domain pack gives you all of the functionality of the reseller account, but limits the number of sites you can host to 3 (unless you buy additional multi-domain packs).

It is a great way to trial and play around at being a reseller.

Thanks for the confirmation and this is exactly what I want to do and its ideal that I can try it out without going for the £23 a month package to see if it works for me
