MIVA MERCHANT AGREEMENT

What kind of bearing does this following statement, from the Miva Merchant agreement, have on the reseller?

(ix) "Authorized Web Space Provider" is a provider of Internet services who is licensed by Miva Corporation to provide Bundle Version copies of MERCHANT to it's customers and who is the provider of web hosting services to LICENSEE.

Does this meen we have to get licensed with them to enable our users to use the software on their domains?

Re:MIVA MERCHANT AGREEMENT

You need to buy the licence direct from Miva - I have not looked into the licence agreement in much detail as we have never had the need to buy a licence, we just make sure miva is setup ready on the server for those who want to take the plunge with what is meant to be a great product.

Re:MIVA MERCHANT AGREEMENT

Ok. I'll reserve that for my clients! lol! I think i'll go the microsoft frontpage route for now. They charge somewhere around $30 per month and you sent payments through the frontpage generated script.

I feel real uneasy about trying to write something of my own to transmit payments. That's a law suite waiting to happen. lol!

Re:MIVA MERCHANT AGREEMENT

It depends what payment system you plan to use -

if your going to accept credit card via a merchant account then they normally offer to host the secure part on there servers with there own system.

We now have a new ordering system on the site which i wrote, everything is done and then passed to the merchant account (paysystems.com) and then passed back to this site, all over secure server.
