It might come as a surprise but not everyone works with their browser maximised.... You can get any size window you want....
Add a windows vista sidebar on one side and a google sidebar on the other and your size will change again!

I know what you are saying Simon, but in my caes, what counts is the screen resolution or its ratio, not its physical size or window size. its the odd-ratio (1440:900) that causes a ball look like an oval if the scripts is based on 4:3 ratio, but on all 4:3 screens a ball remains a ball whatever the screen or window size, 15" or 19".

well it seems the trend is for screens to move to wide-screen models and accompanying "strange" resolutions. 1.6 and 1.7 ratio widescreens are going to be a lot more popular.
