Re:Frustrated

Bad thing is that I accidentily created it in 1024 X 768 resolution and the tables aren't collapsable. Oops. Until I get that fixed the lower resolution guys will just have to scroll to the right a lot.

Re:Frustrated

yeah i also heard of unitedhosting through the webhostingtalk.com forum... they had good reviews there from others, and it was good to see that the people who run it were there to talk to.

and most importantly, when you did talk to them, they weren't all "hey i run a webhosting service! it's the best! go with us!!!!!!! i hope your current service goes wrong! LOL!" or anything like that... they were nice, normal people... again people you feel you can trust

tho they may well be scamming little monkeys, hehe

I've improved my site a tad bit. Not much but a little less "homely" looking.

and I thought 'homely' was quite complimentary ;D
I do like it better now.... will you lose the big blank space on the right of the main page when you resize the page? (It's just crying out for a couple of quotes from satisfied customers....)

Re:Frustrated

I think I will lose that space. My biggest problem right now is resizing in general. I am trying to figure out a way to code my MAP for the title bar so that it doesn't get thrown out of wack when I resize the picture using a collapsible table. I thought about cutting the picture up but it will still move the mapped links when I resize so for now it's gotta be wider than the rest of the site (when the browser is minimized)

Re:Frustrated

Not quite sure what you're trying to do...only had a quick look at the page source but I can't see where you're using a MAP. Why not just use the onclick() event for each table cell?

If you need to use an image, you could use the onclick event, pick up the x and y coords of the click event (different property names in IE and Netscape though) and calculate where they landed relative to the actual displayed window width (e.g. user clicked 85% of the distance from the left side of the window, so that must be on the TOS link...)

Re:Frustrated

will that work with resizing? onClick depends on the user actually clicking.

I also changed the pic from MAP to sliced (the individual pieces of the pic are in table cells) But then if I resize it will screw up my picture but the links will still work now.
