| the md is lucky, the domain is under his name, so no problem at all. if a co.uk domain, simply contact nominet and they would force it to chnage to a new registrar of your choice. there'd be similar rules with regard to .com domain but i guess much more time consumming and could take more trouble to get it done.
i have a similar case, a .co.uk domain was registered under a name of osmeone possibly from the registrar's company who could no longer be contacted by whatever means (or even had died). the domain/site owner can clearly show the the true onwership belongs to the site owner, it was simply an innocence mistake at the time of registerring it. but whatever you tried to persuade nominet for help/renewal, the beaucrats remained unmoved. now the site is down due to not being able to renew the domain and the business is suffering. |
