Awstats questions.

Question 1
OK this might seem daft, but when I go to my Awstats and click "update" how many hits does that add to the stats? I ask because yesterday [1st July] I had 20 hits on Awstats - there's no way that was all me. Am I to assume that for each visit to the stats [that's confirm password, first page opens, then update page] renders 4 or 5 hits?

Question 2
If the above is right, is there some way to exclude myself from my stats? My last host had a system whereby I could discount one IP address [my own] from all stats, does UH have a similar option – I haven't found it yet!

Cheers
I

Yes, updating will result in numerous hits.

You can edit awstats config file to exclude your IP address. Look for SkipHosts and add your IP ie.

SkipHosts="123.123.123.123"

Edit:

The config file you need to edit is awstats.conf located in var/www/cgi-bin/awstats

A quick question re correct syntax. If I want to add more than one IP address do I do it like

1. this:
SkipHosts="123.123.123.123" "123.123.123.123"

2. this:
SkipHosts="123.123.123.123 123.123.123.123"

3. or this:
SkipHosts="123.123.123.123"
SkipHosts="123.123.123.123"
