WYSIWYG

I know that WYSIWYG stands for "What you see is what you get." However I forget the concept. Can someone just give me a one or two liner on the basic concept? Thanks.

Re:WYSIWYG

Pronounced wizzy-wig, stands for what you see is what you get. A WYSIWYG application is one that enables you to see on the display screen exactly what will appear when the document is printed. This differs, for example, from word processors that are incapable of displaying different fonts and graphics on the display screen even though the formatting codes have been inserted into the file. WYSIWYG is especially popular for desktop publishing.

Ok got that. Do our domains (your servers) support WYSIWYG? I am assuming they do.

Re:WYSIWYG

Its not a case of the server supporting it - its all about the software you use to create the page - it ends up in html which the server will read. If you WYSIWYG application has done its job right then the server will display the page just how your application showed you it would look. *thinks*

Re:WYSIWYG

Thanks. That's exactly how I thought it worked. I was just thrown by someone actually asking whether or not we support it. Here was the email that I received with the WYSIWYG comment:

Quote:
As you prices are VERY competitive and would be usful for many A5 users, I will gladly accept your ad for the magazine. send me a link to it and I'll upload it on my own space for the magazine. BTW, I would ad more info in you site, such as whether you will need an FTP proggy and whether there is WYSIWYG support.

Re:WYSIWYG

Do you mind if I use your comment in my FAQ? Thanks.
