Good AntiSpam product?

Hi,

I'm possibly in the market for a new antispam product.

Firstly, I don't use Mailfoundry. We've found that too many emails get marked as spam when they're not, and having those emails released takes too long (if you even find out that they've been marked as spam...); I can't have clients calling me saying emails have gone missing. The level of control is too low, and it did (not sure if it's been fixed) have a problem of turning itself off if you reconfigured your domain in any way. Not a good product to us.

On the desktop I use Cloudmark Antispam. I've used it for years, but in the last few months it's lost the ability to filter emails with the word 'viagra' in them. A bit of a basic error, so now my subscription is almost up I need to look at alternatives out there. I prefer collaborative systems that I don't need to train, and we use Outlook 2003/2007 on our network with POP3 email only - quite simple.

Free is good, but I'll pay for a cost-effective solution.

Regards,

Pete.

Get your client to setup a google mail account. Then configure their uh email address in parallels control panel to forward all email to their uh account to that gmail email account where you get full google spam filtering. Then pull email to PC from google account. You just need to login to google to check spam box once in a while. Cost free. People still send to their usual email adress and they can send email from their usual email account.

Considered Google Apps for your domain - i.e. point MX at Google? Best spam filtering, best webmail, use any mail client even terminate with an MS Exchange system - useful to have failover with web/mobile access when the Exchange server goes belly up. Standard Edition is free. In most cases, it's a no brainer.
