Solution to the sub-domain issue

Untill this sub-domain bug is fixed (images don't get cached) you can boost page load time with this trick.

All you have to do is to upload images to your main site. Than you call your images with long names (eg. http://www.domain.co.uk/images/image.gif). This way images get cached and pages load a lot faster than before.

Still, this is just a workaround!!! I should mention that there are some other minor problems with this bug and hope that you'll "force" those at Ensim to release this fix ASAP.

Nice tip. Ensim are aware of the problem and do actually have a fix, they just need to get it into the next patch.

(Moved to Webmaster Lounge).

Any clues as to when this patch may be arriving? The image cache problem is a right git.

Is it possible to get this fix ASAP? This bug is not that insignificant that we (every one that uses sub-domains) could ignore it.

All scripts need to be changed in order to work with this bug and that is not the way to go. Can you "force" them to release this patch before they would normally do?

Normally we will apply a custom fix, but this one is down to Ensim and we are awaiting there response to the Bug Report. We will let you know as soon as we hear more.
