Bulletin Boards

My customer is looking for a bulletin board, which one is better of vBulletin and PHPBB? Taking it that there is intended to be up to 100 people online at anyone time and that administration needs to be easy. Colours and look/feel need to be quick and easy too?

I know there is an associated cost to vBulletin but this is not a factor unless they are equitable otherwise

PHPBB is cheap (free) and easy to use, templates etc are ok but its not the best system for changing styles in my opinion.

However, bare in mind that you do have: http://www.yabbse.org which is a fantastic PHP/MySQL forum. However, if you don't mind splashing out some money on a forum then vBulletin would be best for you.

Vbulletin is by far the superior. It's edsigned specifically for high-end use, and purchase of a licence guarrantees support.

It has to be said, though, that I eally enjoyed YaBB SE and it's possibly one of the best intro to forums for webmasters. Much easier to use than phpbb. Superb support as well.
