spam via our forms

Can anyone suggest a way of getting round our sudden new problem?

We have a contact form on each page of our business website, all directed to an alias (info). Our problem is we are suddenly receiving a lot of spam sent via these forms (this is quite new, never happened over the last couple of years).

Can anyone suggest a way of blocking this? Obviously we dont want to remove the forms as this is our main way customers contact us.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Perhaps you'd like to post the code of your form and then we can work out how the spammers are exploiting it?

You need a secure formailer with some sort of anti-spam measures.

I searched around recently and eventually found this free one , but if anyone knows of any other free formailers with CAPTCHA I'd love to hear of them.

Interesting that it's named formmailer, an ultra-common target to the extent that it's name is banned from UH servers!

The very best thing you can do (even more so than a CAPTCHA IMO) is just add a validation question which will fail the script if it's answered wrongly. i.e. What is 2 + 2?
