Question Your thoughts please - New site for Holiday Home

:: AVONGLEN :: Superior Self-Catering Accommodation in Aviemore

A new website for a relatively new self catering holiday home in Aviemore that I completed last month.

Feedback requested, what is good, bad, indifferent. Text content is a mix of supplied by the owner and produced by me, same for the photos.

Designers out there, I know you may not wish to give away trade secrets, but if anyone is willing to give a rough guide to what they would charge for producing a similar website for a holiday business I'd be very grateful. (PM me if you don't want to say/post in this thread, thanks).

Looks good to me!

Seems to work fine in FF2 and IE6 on Windows.

My only minor critisisms would be:

1. Use of table for layout
2. Home and Facilities page appear to be the same on initial page load, until you start to read the text - I suggest a slightly different layout for one of them (or different pics, which may be easier)
3. I personally would add a slight gradient or faint image background (either side of the main table) which is currently a solid grey colour.

Only minor points though - well done!

Yes I agree with ijl, an alternative to the solid grey background would be good.

I'd also loose the email address from the footer (and in the top-right corner too) so it isn't going to get bombarded with spam. Either obfuscate the email address in the links or change them to link to a page with a contact form.
