My first blog and new skin

OK - I am trying out the b2evolution blog system. So far I like it. It was easy for me to build a new skin. Would love to know your thoughts on that?

Hebbs Shouts Out

I know it needs more content as I only installed it yesterday and messed around with the skin last night.

Anyhow, would love to know what you guys think?

I'd be interested to see it with a different background colour - personally I don't like black and I think a lighter colour might make it look much nicer.

Not too keen on the ink blobs on the right as they make the text on top harder to read.

I'd put some right padding/margin on the calendar - looks too squashed to the right (although I'm never sure what the point of a calender in a blog is anyway).

Hope this doesn't sound too negative as these are only small points. And what the hell do I know anyway

Send a message via MSN to Alex.
It looks like a pretty good design
However, in FF, the calender is touching the outside of the column, and its a bit hard to read the blog description text in the right column, because it doesn't contrast with the background.

Otherwise, looks great, your definitely on your way

I agree with the points by the others. Maybe an earthy colour to fit with the rest of the blog would be nice instead of the black, a gradient or texture perhaps. Quite a smart design, good job.

Smart funky design with the only minor faults being the ones already listed. Still a very smart design, well done.
