maes-yr-haf.com

Hi,

Recently finished work on Maes-Yr-Haf at Three Cliffs Bay - Restaurant with Rooms - a website advertising a new restaurant/hotel near Swansea.

The site is still in final testing stages in that I'm still revising a few bits and looking to bring the file sizes down a bit, but interested in hearing how this looks/renders/feels for people as it was a right hassle to get going in all browsers.

Thanks v much,

Neil

Pretty flawless design in my eyes, I'd be proud of it. How did you come up with the patterned background?

Only point I'd make is that RSS Feed is a pretty vague label, it's not clear what it is for.

Wow, rapid comments - much appreciated

patterned background is taken from some photos I took of the wallpaper in the restaurant - you have now reminded me that I need to recut it so that it repeats seamlessly.

Fair point about the slow pan - I like it, but feel it's not 100% there.

I can see why you'd use a Captcha on the Contact Us form page - but I can't read the damn thing at all! You may want to go for the Simple Captcha which people can read.

I'm not sure why you would use a CAPTCHA on the Contact Us page, because there's a plain text mailto link on the other side of the page. First stop for spammers!

I meant to activate an enkoding plugin to try to block email harvesters. I have now done so ta.

Yes, it is a pretty crazed captcha form, will have to try to change the captcha method when I get a moment to dig back into the site....
