dgrieve.co.uk - portfolio website

Hi all, first post and all that Just wanting some feedback on the actual design itself, although I know the content isn't that fantastic as it's just about the work I've done (well lack of work).

The site has some issues in IE6 that I'm aware of, such as the menu items not giving their roll-overs (it uses CSS based hovers). But apart from that I'd appreciate some input.

Cheers

EDIT: LINK Forgot to put in a clickable link

Very well done indeed, I like it a lot. Top design there. Couple of notes for you.

> The send email button is a bit unbutton like, I had to click it to find out if it was a label or a button.
> You should definitely have an individual title for each page (with the site name second, rather than first). Part SEO, part usability.
> The links at the bottom are important! Don't tuck them away down there.

Thanks for the input. Good idea about the title, I've made it so each page has its own title now.

As for the contact button, I've added a border around it and some padding to make it look a little bigger, I suppose it still looks a lot like a label and I may just go back to a normal submit button, but I wanted to have something that fitted in with the colours and design of the site.

The links are going to be tricky to move, as I'm not sure where I can put them. They aren't the really important links, and 2 of them are linked to from the content of other pages. I didn't want to put them in the main menu as I wanted the menu to be quite short, instead of having 8 items on there. I'll have a think and see if there's anywhere I can move them.

Cheers for the input

You need to sort out the spam on your comments thing I think. Very nice website though, professional, clean and easy to use. You should look into optimising it. Don't become a True Believer and change it all, but just do what you can where you can without killing the cool design.
