Does anyone know if Wordpress syndicates your content to other sites? Or is it just a local blog that only exists where you set it up like a normal website?

WordPress can indeed be syndicated. I take RSS feeds from about a dozen WP blogs.

But nohing happens with the content unless you make it so right? I have never set up one of these so I am a novice.

if its on your own web space, then it will not be syndicated unless you make it so.
