importing 70 mysql data help

well i've tried phpadmin. and i've done a google search on the subject but nothing works. it's time's out.

any ideas? site with a tutorial? i'm a bit overworked i need something a 3 year old can understand.

If you are confident with SSHing to the server then you use the following command:

mysql -u USERNAME -p DATABASENAME < file.sql

(SSH tutorial: http://unitedhosting.co.uk/tutorial_ssh.php)

We can restore this for you if you simply upload the .sql file, create the database and then give us both those details in a trouble ticket.

Failing that, take a look at the database tools at Hotscripts.com:

Database Tools @ Hotscripts.com

I use to have the same problem, but got around it by using a simple little utility called "Dump". Check it out at:

Dump v1.0

The files are in English. Give it a try!

thanks. i could sort out the ssh thing. will give dump a try. but i wimped out and had tech support do it for me.
