Security risk with Flash

Any site developer using Flash applets may need to urgently review their code. I have not used Flash for a few years so may be able to have a "peaceful" Christmas....

Serious Flash vulns menace tens of thousands websites | The Register

A security update Adobe released this week for its Flash player doesn't fix the vulnerabilities, but how many users would apply the latest updates, anyway? Updates to authoring software will also be required.

Thanks for the link, it could be quite serious. I never click links from emails, when I go to my banking sites I always type in the URL, so people like me who do that are not vulnerable.

I used to develop with Flash when it was Flash 5 but moved to JS/XHR several years ago because its better suited for the web IMHO.

BTW Happy Christmas

Cross-site vulnerability ... Guess that means if you visit basementfantasies.com and warez-r-us.ru in the same browser you do online banking with, you're in trouble.

Not trying to say there isn't a problem, but my gut feeling is that 99% of the people it will affect are using a computer recklessly to begin with.
