Fairly basic design concepts - screen size

Hello All

I've created a website using IE7, viewing it on my 15inch laptop screen (1400x1050 px, currently set at 1280x1024px) Apollo Blinds St. Albans

Here's a screen print of what the page looks like "correct" - http://www.sadgco.co.uk/test/apollo_1.gif

However when I viewed the site on a 17in monitor the whole page "enlarged" - the main logo is twice the size, the font size of the words are larger.

I've got several books from the library and googled but can't find anything that targets what aspect of design I change to deal with this.

I vaguely understand the concepts but would appreciate any guidance (or google search terms!).

Thanks in advance,

mm
