The main thread had information adjusted before we started the first server:

If you also use this code in any subfolder or subdomain then you will need to remove those entries yourself to avoid errors, we cannot do those parts automatically.
But it was not highlighted enough IMHO.

Ah, I didn't see that amendment. I'd agree that for something that could potentially (and did) take some websites offline then it should have been a more prominent announcement. Having said that, the way you've dealt with the problems that have arisen has been exemplary. Live and learn

Not directly related but it`s another include i noticed after the switch

i have a file located in one subdomain /var/www/html/sub1/file1.php

How can in include this file to a page in another subdomain /var/www/html/sub2/file2.php?

I tried :
include '/var/www/html/sub1/file1.php'
include '../sub1/file1.php'

What am i doing wrong any ideas ?

Sub domains are configured so that their document root is the directory you specify, which means that you cannot access anything above them by doing ../

On that note, how are document roots working now? Previously, using PHP5 (I've not tested with PHP4 or otherwise) the $_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] variable in a subdomain was set to the root directory of the main website, not of the individual subdomain.
